Dirty Jeans

I have a favorite pair of jeans. These are my "go to" jeans whenever I want to hang out with friends, chill by myself, or even have a nice evening out. Whenever I have a special night planned or I'm going out with friends I may run a few errands during the day before I have to get ready. After a shower and applying my make-up, I freshen up my outfit by grabbing a nice shirt out the closet and running the iron over my "worn all day" favorite jeans I just took off and be on my way...

Can we say GROSS! Honestly I would never do that! Everything in the wind and the air that has attached itself to our clothes has now been sealed into the fabric from the heat of the iron! I had to paint a very important picture for those of us who maintain our hair at home in between those salon appointments. This is what we are doing every time we put heat on hair that hasn't been shampooed. Everything our hair has collected from the elements of nature, our sweat from working out, the chlorine from our swim, it all leaves deposits on our hair and it all must be cleansed away before we seal our hair with heat. This causes immediate damage and breakage to the hair which eventually leads to a big chop! ALWAYS SHAMPOO, CONDITION AND DRY BEFORE ADDING HEAT!
