When going into the salon for any type of service, you have to take part in the consultation process with your technician, whether they are a hair care, nail care or a skin care specialist. It is important to answer all questions truthfully and to the best of your ability. It is our job to find out what is going on with your hair and we need your help to do it. We may need to know for example, your diet, if you drink enough water, do you smoke, do you work out, do you swim etc. Most of all we need to know things like when was your last chemical treatment, how often you condition and what products are you using at home. None of these things are meant to pry or insult, but they help us to understand how your lifestyle has affected your hair and what we need to do in order to best treat your hair. Help us help you. Keeping things from your stylist will only make their job much more difficult and efforts of non-effect.
